Chef George Sato

Chef George Sato, founder and executive Chef at Ocean World Sushi & Seafood Restaurant, grew up in Ibaraki, Japan. He draws his influence from Japanese family roots and his extensive travels. In the kitchen, he creates Japanese dishes that maintain their original essence while exploring a new take on ingredients, technique, and presentation. As Ocean World is in Indianapolis, so is Chef Sato in the local community. Every year he organizes the “BON-ODORI,” a Japanese summer festival that is now a tradition. Operating Ocean World for more than 25 years, Chef Sato has a solid foothold in Indiana’s thriving dining scene.
